of the reason it became illegal is it would have destroyed the paper
industry. So much money was invested in destroying our natural forests,
that this would have driven a number of companies bankrupt. Same reason
the U.S is against solar energy, it
would destroy a huge market for the coal and oil industries. Economy
matters! and creating jobs is a big deal. Who wants to make the call
that leaves the majority of society without an income. Hemp makes sense,
and could save the planet, but could also destroy families and society.
We're walking on a thin line. Truth is the rich and powerful do care,
but are being torn between societies necessities. If you can figure it
out, be a politician, and make the world a better place.
Dale Miller renewable energy tends to create a lot more jobs then oil and coal do. and the only people you'd be screwing over by destroying the oil industry are the people with more then enough money already to deal with it. not only would you help countless people by making more jobs, you would also make the cost of living cheaper by providing cheaper energy. the major economic issue you have to worry about would be what the oil companies spend to stimulate the economy. but even then, they're way more inclined to keep the money for themselves then spend overly large sums for the economy. investing in the general public though renewable energy would give more people a lot more money, and would probably stimulate the economy way more. most people tend to spend what they make, so if you increase what they make they will increase what they spend. if the rich and powerful did care, then they would be able to do something about it.
Chantelle Gibbons All this new technology does the same thing; replace jobs. If they cared we wouldn't be creating it. There is now things in subway stations on posts where you scan a QR code and order toys and other goods. They are creating technology in which they can replace waiters.
The machine is taking over, but not in the way we envisioned. All of these "conveniences" that make our life easier or things cheaper, is cutting jobs. And the ONLY thing it saves is money.
At least with renewable energies we are saving our most precious asset. Our planet.
